A classic ketch, finished for comfort
Arif Kaptan A is a 36-metre wooden gulet rigged as a ketch, her varnished hull and long bowsprit marking her out as one of the more traditionally handsome boats on the coast.
Twelve guests take six en-suite cabins — two masters, two doubles and two twins — looked after by a crew of six. The aft deck opens onto a curved dining table beneath the boom, with the helm and a bar close at hand.
Aft deck dining & lounge
A curved cream sofa wraps an oval dining table under the boom, with the ship's wheel and a varnished bar counter just forward — the crew's post within reach of every course.
Bow detail & rigging
The long bowsprit and its netting are as much a part of the boat as any deck lounge — hand-finished woodwork and brightwork that reward a closer look.
Under sail
A classic two-masted ketch rig, carrying her sails the way Bodrum gulets have for generations. Arif Kaptan A sails properly, and the coast slides past quietly when she does.
Saloon
The indoor saloon is finished in dark timber with a cream dining nook seating the whole party, and a flatscreen and music system built into the cabinetry opposite.
Large windows run the length of the room, so the saloon stays bright even when the awnings are down on deck.
